History

During World War II the Germans sponsored several Russian groups fighting against the Soviets. One of those groups was the Russian Liberation Army under Major-Ggeneral Maltsev. In early 1945 two squadrons flying the Me-109 G-10 were formed. Their insignia was a blue St. Andrews cross on a white shield.
